• Demonstrated ability to drive and operate designated plant (from 5T to 30T excavator) Compactors, Loaders on subsoil, rock protection, top soil, drains, batters, subgrade and carry out operations as required.
• Ability to operate and monitor excavating machinery equipped with moveable shovel, grab-bucket or dragline bucket, to excavate and move earth, rock, sand, gravel or similar materials.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake basic plant and equipment maintenance in accordance with agreed practice.
• Ability to follow operating manuals and procedures.
• Able to ensure all tools and equipment are safe to use and stored correctly.
• Demonstrated ability to detect operating problems, troubleshoot and take corrective action when necessary.
• Experience with the operation of front-end loaders, skid steers and backhoes.
