Inspiring Future Civil Construction Careers at the BLA 2025 Cairns Careers Expo

On Thursday, 21st August, HEH Civil was proud to participate in the BLA 2025 Cairns Careers Expo, held at the Fred Moule Pavilion at the Cairns Showgrounds. The event welcomed over 4,500 attendees, including more than 4,000 students from across the Far North Region, making it a vibrant and engaging platform to spotlight careers in construction.

With the support of Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), our team showcased the diverse opportunities available in the civil construction industry. Students in Years 10 to 12, along with parents, job seekers, and career changers, explored hands-on activities and gained insights into the real-world applications of construction careers.

A highlight of the day was our interactive surveying experience, led by Survey Assistant Rob Clark. Students had the chance to operate industry-grade tools such as the Total Station and explore drone imagery, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for the technical side of construction.

It was a day filled with energy, learning, and inspiration. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the event a success, especially the students who brought such enthusiasm and interest to our booth!
