Landslips Package 16 – Cape Tribulation Rd – Bloomfield Rd

HEH Civil is delivering remediation and stabilisation works across 11 landslip sites along the Cape Tribulation–Bloomfield Road corridor, extending north toward Wujal Wujal. These works restore slope stability, strengthen damaged embankments, and improve long term road safety following the severe rainfall impacts of ex Cyclone Jasper.

Scope of Works

  • Soil nails (100mm) installed to 6–7m depth across multiple sites.
  • Micropiles (100mm) installed to approximately 10m depth where required.
  • MacMat R erosion control matting applied to stabilise exposed slopes.
  • Gabion basket walls (1m x 1m) constructed, with HEH supplying rock.
  • Rock bolts (50mm) installed at steep or rope access locations.
  • Excavation and descaling of unstable material.
  • Subsoil drainage and associated drainage structures.
  • Culvert works, concrete works, and shotcreting.
  • Traffic management, erosion and sediment control, and site facilities.
  • Roadside safety upgrades including guide posts and guardrail installation.
