HEH CIVIL NEWS
Noah Creek bridge
Project Overview:
Noah Creek is situated approximately 25 Km north of the Daintree River and is a critical link to the Cape Tribulation village. It is vital for access for residents and particularly emergency services.
With a maximum load of 16 tonne, the bridge is in poor condition and at its end-of-life status, limiting access of essential supplies for the communities north of the bridge.
The works under the contract will include:
- Construction of a temporary ford sidetrack to allow traffic flow to and from the communities
- Existing bridge demolition
- Bridge deck insitu works
- Cast in place piles
- Waterway barrier works within the highly sensitive Wet Tropics World Heritage Area
- Rehabilitation of upstream bypass
Looking Ahead
The project is scheduled for commencement in April 2026 and HEH Civil is looking forward to continue our support to the Douglas Shire community in delivering high quality infrastructure.
