About the Project:
HEH Civil were engaged to undertake road reconstruction and stabilisation project to along Boonah Rathdowney Road located in the Scenic Rim in South East Queensland following the devasting 2022 wet weather events.
Key Challenges and Solutions
- Maintaining consistent traffic conditions for this vital transport corridor within the region during construction (i.e. HV, LV and wide load vehicle management).
- Project works included soil nailing, reinforcement, shotcrete, drainage, pavement, seal, asphalt and detailed traffic management works. Despite the wet weather experienced throughout the course of the project, the team delivered the project to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Achievements
- HEH Civil delivered quality works to Main Roads standards and specifications with minimal disruptions to the travelling public.
- No environmental incidents were recorded throughout construction.
