About the Project:
The Warril Creek Bridge Rehabilitation project is a strategic civil works initiative focused on restoring structural integrity and operational safety to the Warril Creek Bridge, a vital transport link supporting local communities, freight movement, and emergency access. The project forms part of a broader commitment to enhance resilience and longevity of public infrastructure in line with asset management best practices and regional growth objectives.
Key Challenges and Solutions
- HEH Civil worked collaboratively with Roadtek and DTMR throughout construction to manage inclement weather during the project where there was flooding due to creek levels rising.
- Additional animal walkway was added to the project which required shotcrete works along the top of the batter under the bridge.
Achievements
- The project stayed on track to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
- The HEH Civil team maintained strong communication and a positive working relationship with the principal contractor and all stakeholders, supporting the safe and efficient execution of works. No environmental incidents were recorded during the construction phase.
